大遗址是我国文化遗产最重要的组成部分,是构成中华五千年辉煌文明的主体,是中华文明曾经高度发达并对世界文明与进步产生过巨大影响的历史见证。经济高速发展时期往往是大遗址遭受破坏的高危险期。在经济、社会和文化发展中,如何保护好大遗址是当前及今后很长一段时期我国文化遗产保护的主要任务。

The big cultural site is the most significant component of China＇s cultural heritage, the main part that constitutes China＇ s glorious civilization of five thousand years. It is also the historical evidence that Chinese civilization had once been highly prosperous and had overwhelming influence on the global civilization and progress. The big cultural sites are most probably to be damaged in the periods with rapid development in e- conomy. How to protect them well is the main task of the cultural heritage protection in our country from now until a long time after. This article gives suggestions about the policies of big cultural site protection on the basis of investigation and analysis of the protection cases and existing problems.
