The problems existed in seismic design of multistory masonry building with frame structure at the first floor are analyzed. From building size, aseismic wall, upper brick masonry and other aspects the importance of conceptual design is introduced. Meanwhile, the points for attention in design are pointed out in order to ensure design quality.
