New approaches to translation teaching for undergraduate English majors in China

传统的英语翻译教学存在内容、方法及形式单一等弊病,已不能满足信息时代与经济全球化对英语专业人才的要求。本文对英语专业翻译教学及翻译的标准重新作了定位,提出了多元化的教学内容和多样化的教学方法,以全面提高学生的翻译素质和能力。

There are some drawbacks of the present translation teaching approaches which in fact are not suitable for the English language teaching in the information age with economical globalization. The intention of this paper is to explore variety of teaching content and translation methods so as to improve students; comprehensive competence in their future translation work.
