Biochemical treatises as important documents that report and disseminate the newest findings in biochemical research contain words that often acquire new meanings in the new genre. Therefore, correct understanding of these words is of uttermost importance for proper interpretation of the meanings of such biochemical texts. In this article, we discuss the translating of several types of words, e.g. nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs and prepositions in English biomedical treatises, and hopefully, some of the strategies and considerations in rendering these words can be of reference to others.
