论跨学科术语的译名

21世纪的科学发展将呈现出学科交叉的新特点,同时各学科的交叉必然扩大术语的使用范围和引起术语含义的改变。有些术语的指称意义、语用意义都可能不同于起源时的意义;有些术语已经不仅仅属于某一领域独有,不再是单一学科的词汇,而频频出现在其它学科中。如今在人们较多地强调译名统一和术语标准化的问题时,还应该注意到交叉学科的术语译名问题。本文简要介绍跨学科术语的语义变化,归属分析及译名方法。

The development of sciences in 21^st century has been characterized with interdisciplinarity. The emergence of new disciplines has led to the expansion of the uses of many terms and thus caused alterations in their meanings. For some terms, both the designative and pragmatic meanings have differed from the original. For others, they may no longer be terms specific to one particular discipline. All this needs to be taken into account in our efforts of standardization of new terms. This article discusses the issue of meaning change in interdisciplinary terms, their categorizations and translation methods.
