摘要
语言学和外语教学法研究的深入和计算机多媒体技术和网络技术的发展为现代教育技术在大学英语教学中的应用提供了充分的理论基础和客观条件。计算机辅助教学(CAI)主要有单机辅助教学和网络教学两种形式。本文主要研究这两种形式各自的技术特点、研究现状和应用条件,并着重探讨了网络教学中教师的网上合作、网络资源的共享和远程教育模式。研究表明,计算机辅助教学将在大学英语教学中起到越来越重要的作用。
Thorough research on linguistics and foreign language teaching （FLT） approaches and the development of technologies on computer multimedia and networks provided theoretical basis and material condition for the application of modem educational technology in teaching college English. Computer Assisted Instructions （CAI） are mainly applied in two forms： offline computer-based CAI＇and online computer-based CAI （also called： Web-based CAI）. This paper gives a brief survey respectively to the above two forms on technological characteristics, progress of research and requirements of applications. It also lays stress on the teachers＇ electronic collaboration, sharing Internet resources and a molel of distance education in web-based teaching. The research reveals that the application of CAI in teaching college English is playing an increasingly important role.
