On Establishing the Expectancy of Benign Inflation in the Mind of Residents

本文从心理预期角度研究通货膨胀，说明从长期看，预期对经济活动不会起实质性影响，从较短期看，预期对经济活动产生重要影响。本文用我国经济改革以来的实践，说明预期粘性对市场供求对价格变动的作用程度的放大与缩小作用。据此作者提出控制与引导社会心理预期，在居民中建立起对我国经济运行的良性预期，以妥善解决通货膨胀的主张。

The paper studies inflation from the angle of psychological expectations. It describes that expectancy does not exert any essential effects on the economic activities by taking a long view, while by taking a comparatively short view, it does exert remarkable effects. The author, based on more than one decade of economic reform practice in China, explains that expectancy stickiness plays an active part in the enlargement and lessening of market supply and-demand situation and price fluctuation. As a result,the author concludes that establishing the expectancy of benign inflation in the mind of residents is of much significance.
