Mechanical Calculation and Physical Understanding of the Derivative of Acceleration

Because of rapid development in the military industry and modem commtmication, the motion velocity of the mechanism is sped up. The derivative of acceleration, namely, the jerk, should be given more attention. The calculation and discussion are performed for the jerk with some examples. The results show that in GPS, high-speed trains, high-speed elevators and communication accident analyses, these calculations and discussions are not perfect with neglecting the derivative of acceleration.
