要发展新时期的学生工作，在个体发展方面，要坚持社会发展与个人进步的统一、知与行的统一、宽泛眼界与求实精神的统一；在队伍建设方面，要坚持与时俱进与实事求是的统一、完善制度与机制保障的统一、教育培养与监督管理的统一；在学生培养方面，要坚持“人”与“才”的统一、科学教育与人文教育的统一、主导作用与主体作用的统一、现实与前瞻的统一。
To develop student work in new situations, we should insist on the integration of society development and individual progress, knowledge and action in aspects of individual development. We should unify keeping paces with times and seeking truths, perfecting systems and ensuring mechanism and cultivating and supervising in aspects of improving qualities of people.
