It is a major tendency for oil companies to return to their main line. Many transnational companies have sold those businesses that have no direct relation with their main line, which are emphasized most at present. After reorganization of oil enterprises in China, those not listed on a stock exchange have to reconsider their business if they want to survive, because major businesses concerning oil and natural gas have been put under the listed companies' control leaving redundant personnel there. Diversification that is now considered as a development strategy for its survival and future development has once been an effective way to reposit those redundant personnel of oil industry. Some oil companies construct projects that are of little practical value, which bring difficulties to them and thereby force them to try limited diversification and do business related to oil industry for the purpose of doing what they can.
