摘要
尽管英语早已发展成为世界性语言,但同其他语言一样,英语与英语文化始终是不可分割和互为依存的。因此,将英语文化融入英语教学在第二语言环境中不仅可取而且是十分必要的英语教学模式。惟有如此,才有助于英语学习者获得跨文化交际意识和能力,从而培养出英语运用准确、流利、得体、有效的跨文化交际者。
As with any other language English can never find its way into a non-English speaking country without carrying on its intrinsic culture. Based on this viewpoint the paper elaborates the importance of TESL focused on both language and culture in terms of English learners＇cross-cultural communication characterized by accuracy, fluency, appropriateness and efficiency.
