摘要
明确、清楚的语言表达通常是所有语言使用者的理想境界,然而,由于主、客观方面的种种原因,模糊现象广泛存在于人类语言之中,成为所有自然语言的一大本质特性。作为人类语言的一个重要组成部分,数字也不可避免地具有这一特性:模糊性。对英汉数词模糊现象进行研究,探讨英汉数字模糊产生的原因,介绍其各种表现形式,并尝试运用格式塔—美学这一新兴的艺术批评模式分析其模糊语义的美学价值。
Accuracy and clarity are usually regarded as the ideal goals for all the language users to achieve in their expressions of what in minds. However, due to various objective and subjective factors, the phenomena of fuzziness exist widely in all aspects of all the natural languages. Being one of the important sub - systems of language, numerals naturally possess the common property of language fuzziness. After investigating the origin and the classification of fuzzy numerals, this paper identifies five aesthetic values of numeral fuzziness by studying numeral fuzziness in English and Chinese literary works and idiomatic phrases from the perspective of Gestalt - aesthetics.
