社会语言学关注的核心问题是在一定社会条件下语言使用的变异现象,而语域的三维变项又是语言使用研究中的重要内容。从社会语言学的观点出发分别就语域的三维变项———语场、语式和语势对语言使用变异的影响进行了深入地探讨和论证。文章中提出了一些新的观点,使社会语言学角度上的语域认识上升到一个新的层面,并在应用的层面上提出了语域是构成一个人社会能力的主要内涵这一观点。

One of the most concerned questions in sociolinguisitcs is variation in language use within certain social conditions. The three variables of register are the most concerned subjects in the research of language use. In terms of sociolinguistics, this article separately makes a deep research and provides with some evi- dence on the variation in language It puts forward not only some new use influenced by the three variables of register of field, mode and tenor. viewpoints which promote our knowledge of register to a new level in terms of sociolinguisitcs, but also the viewpoint that register would be the main part of a person＇ s social ability in terms of social application.
