Traditional history gives particular priority to the achievements of male ehtes and intends to provide us with grand patterns and overall schemes. Consequently, traditional history does not give voices to the historically marginalized groups including women. Feminist historians aim to carve a space in history for women. However, women's history spends less time documenting women's victimization and more time affirming the distinctiveness of women's culture, thereby creating a historical tradition to which feminists could appeal for examples of women's agency, for proof of their ability to make history. To women's victimization through her novels. challenge traditional history, Margaret Atwood documents women's victimization through her novels.
