A Review of the Contemporary Literary System

中国当代文学没有出现文学大师,从体制上分析,是全盘照搬了战争年代形成的文学体制。其弊端有三:一是按照全国行政区划设置各级作家协会,二是对文学创作实行计划生产,三是作家职业化。

There has not been any master in contemporary Chinese literature for the reason that the literary system is just a copy of that formulated over the years. There exist three disadvantages. First, various levels of writers＇ associations are established according to national administrative division; second, literary creation is produced in accordance with plans; and third, writers have been professionalized.
