Modern Communication Revolution: Challenges and Impact

目前正在进行的计算机与电子通讯技术所引发的这场新的传播革命,将对受众(读者)产生巨大的影响。传统的纸质印刷出版物受到了电子出版物的强有力挑战,受众(读者)的阅读心理和习惯受到前所未有的冲击。新的传播技术大大缩短了受众(读者)与作者之间的距离,但受众(读者)也须注意不要被新技术异化。

Following up a main thread of development of communication technology, this paper analyzes the close relationship between the development of science and technology and the communication activities of human beings, and predicts that the new ongoing communication revolution caused by computer and electronic communication technology will exert enormous influence upon readers. Traditional publications are challenged by electronic publications and the reading psychology and habits of readers are unprecedentedly impacted. New communication technologies narrow the gap between readers and the writer, but readers should also be cautious enough not to be dehumanized.
