文章讨论了三种解释自闭症障碍发生与发展的理论模式。心理学模式将自闭症患者的发展障碍或心理病理障碍看作是心智活动受损的表现;神经生物学模式主要考虑特定的大脑结构受损及其对自闭症行为功能障碍的影响;生态学模式避开了直接研究自闭症患者心理或大脑这个黑箱,而通过研究自闭症患者和环境的交互作用来解释自闭症患者的行为。
The author discusses three kinds of theories of autism, a developmental disorder that affects social behavior, communication and cognition. The first approach is psychological explanations which attribute developmental or mental disorders to disruption of mental activities; the second one is perspectives from neurobiology, assuming that developmental or psychiatric disorders are the manifestations of underlying brain disorders; the third one is an ecological alternative, explaining the behaviors of autism from the perspectives of the interaction betweon antisties and the environment, rather than focusing directly on angles of psychology or brain.
