香港市民对服用药物认知程度的试点研究

A pilot study investigating the level of understanding of the Hong Kong Chinese adults about the drugs consumed

目的进行香港市民对服用药物认知程度的试点研究,并讨论研究的科学性。方法自制香港市民对服用药物认知程度的问卷。问卷经测试具有较好的信、效度。随机选取100位香港市民参与试点研究,搜集其服药型态的数据并加以分析。结果受访者对安全服用药物认知不足,香港市民普遍缺乏安全服药意识。结论同类大型研究具有可行性,推广安全服用药物教育非常迫切。

Objective To conduct a pilot study to investigate the level of understanding of the Hong Kong Chinese adults about the drugs consumed and discuss the empiricism of the study. Methods A questionnaire was developed for exploring the level of understanding of the Hong Kong Chinese adults about the drugs consumed,and the validity and reliability of the instrument were tested. A sample of 100 Hong Kong Chinese adults was selected randomizely to participate in the pilot study. Structured interviews were used in the study. Their patterns of consuming drugs were collected, analyzed and reported in this paper. Result The result showed that the knowledge of the sample was not sufficient to allow them to perform safe medication practice. Conclusions The purpose of this pilot study has been achieved that it is feasible to conduct similar large - scale studies in the future. It is also evident that it is timely to conduct community- based health education on safe medication practice.
