Xu Yuanzhong's Intention——View on xu's translation theory and practice of Chinese ancient poetry from the skopos theory

许渊冲教授的诗歌翻译理论与实践自提出以来引起了中国翻译界广泛的讨论。而目的论这一以目的法则为主导的翻译标准多元化的理论体系为翻译评论提供了一个新视角。因此本文试图从目的论角度对许教授的中国古诗翻译理论与实践作出分析,以说明翻译目的在其翻译理论和实践中不容置否的作用。

Together with his practice of Chinese ancient poetry translation, poetry translation theory put forward by Professor Xu Yuanzhong has evoked much criticism in the field of translation in China.While the skopos theory,which advocates multiple standards of translation,prorides a new perspective for translation criticism. The present article, therefore, tries to have a discussion about Xu＇s theory and practice of Chinese ancient poetry translation so to assert that Xu＇s translation purposes play an essential part in his career.
