建筑文化是人类社会历史实践过程中所创造出的建筑物质财富和建筑精神财富的综合,是人类文明活动的历史积淀。不同的地域、不同的环境、不同的民族必然产生不同的建筑文化。建筑文化具有多元性的特征,这必然导致建筑文化的多链特征。多元文化的多链,存在着文化间的互动,使建筑文化形成较大文化体系,同时建筑文化在发展的过程中具有自生和共生的特性。
