摘要 2004年,WiMAX技术成为通信领域一个非常热门的话题,出现了大量关于WLAN、3G和WiMAX等标准优劣的争论,并引起众多移动通信设备商和运营商的关切。2004年7月,802.16d标准正式发布,解决WiMAX移动性的802.16e标准也预计在2005年初发布,WiMAX的这些进展吸引了更多的关注和争论。本文从技术标准、发展现状及趋势、技术定位、竞争与融合等多方面深入分析了3种技术之间的关系,阐明3种技术标准之间既有相互竞争,也有融合空间;并通过对3种技术进行SWOT分析,对其发展与融合给出了建议。 In 2004, WiMAX technology became a hotspot in the communication field. It caused a lot of arguments about which of WLAN, 3G and WiMAX is more advantageous, and attracted the attention from mobile communication equipment vendors and operators. The standard 802.16d was officially issued in July 2004, and the standard 802.16e about WiMAX mobility was predicted to be issued at the beginning of 2005. These WiMAX progress led to more attentions and arguments. This article analyzes the relationship of these three technologies in the technical standards, development situation and trend,technical positioning, etc. illustrates the competition and integration amang them, and makes SWOT analysis to give some suggestions of the related development and integration.
