A Wronged “Metaphysics”:Its Meaning in this Age

自然科学以及由其产生的现代技术已经成为当今世界的一个重要特征,科技被视为当代世界的绝对主宰。哲学尤其是哲学中的“形而上学”遂被视为过时或甚至根本无意义。本文通过对“形而上学”本质的考察,挖掘其深刻的时代意义,呼唤新的“形而上学”时代的到来。

Natural science and its consequential modem technology, as facts and experience reveal, have been a main feature of the present age. As a result, philosophy, particularly metaphysics, in this science ＆ technology dominance, is considered out-of-date and even useless. The paper holds an opposite view that metaphysics is never behind the times. With the perception the usefulness of metaphysics in the present, the paper redefines the nature of ＂metaphysics＂ and furthers its depth in this age, thus calls on the coming of a ＂metaphysic age＂.
