Zhang Wei is an idealist who has been trying hardly to stride over between history and morality. His latest novel Scandal or Romance provides the readers with a new angle and creates the artistic image of ＂Liu Mila＂ with anxiety and love. But the fiction still cannot point out a definite road for Zhang＇s writing. The writer＇s intention in the ending of the fiction is rather vague.
