摘要 本文研究英美侦探小说起源、发展过程以及对现当代英美小说的影响,并力图纠正有关此类作品的不科学的论断。论文主要涉及四个问题:一、侦探小说出现之前西方侦探文学概况、侦探小说的起源和定义;二、侦探小说诞生的社会学、法学、哲学、美学背景;三、侦探小说几种程式的形成及接受情况;四、当代侦探小说的演变、几种主要次文类的出现以及对主流文学的影响。
