摘要
弹性分组环(RPR)是一种新的城域网技术,它不仅保留了SDH/SONET的可靠性,而且比SDH/SONET能更有效地分配带宽和传输数据。介绍了RPR技术的特点,特别分析了其在教育城域网的应用。
Resillient Package Ring（RPR）is a new Metropolitan Area Network（MAN）technology,which can not only keep the reliability of SDH/SONET,but also can allocate the bandwidth more fairly and transmit data more effectively. This paper presentthe characteristics of RPR,especially,analyzes its applications in the Education MAN.
