Coking appeared in the tube joined to the main oil gas piping exit at coke tower top of the delayed coking plant, which adversely affected safe production of the plant. By the analysis of the coking section and coking degree, process improving measures were taken which greatly relaxed the coking rate in the tube jointed to the main oil gas piping exit, and revamping suggestions were proposed, providing references for thorough solution of the coking of the main oil gas piping.
