从文化角度分析汉译英中的错误

Analysis of the Mistakes in Translation from Chinese into English from the Angle of Culture

语言是文化的载体,是文化的主要表现形式。语言离不开文化,文化依靠语言。翻译涉及两种语言,译者不可避免地会受到两种文化的影响。本文通过对汉语文化的“意合”、“曲线表达”、“主动”和“具体”与英语文化的“形合”、“直线表达”、“被动”和“抽象”等几个主要方面不同特点的探讨,分析了译者在汉译英中常犯的错误,从而阐明了文化在翻译中的重要性。

Language is the carrier and main manifestation of culture. Language is inseparable from culture and culture is dependent on language. Translation, which is a rendering from one language into another, is inevitably influenced by two cultures. The author in this paper analyzes the mistakes in translation from Chinese into English from main angles of parataxis, curving expression, activeness and concreteness of the Chinese language and hypotaxis, linear expression, passiveness and abstractness of the English language, and expounds the significance of culture in translation.
