英汉语言和英汉思维差异刍议

On differences between English and Chinese and their thinking patterns

本文以实例阐明英语贵“直白”,而汉语贵“含蓄”;英语注重人和物的“距离”,而汉语讲求人的参与。文章通过对比英汉语言的这两种特点,解析了两种不同民族思维方式的差异。

It is analyzed two characteristics of the differences between English and Chinese, that is, English values “exposure”, while Chinese values “connotation”; and English emphasizes “the distance” between people and - A things, while Chinese accentuates people＇s participation. Based on these two characteristics, it is probed the differences between English thinking patterns and Chinese thinking patterns in this paper.
