Histochemistry on the Cercariae of Eurytrema pancreaticum

用组织化学方法研究了胰阔盘吸虫（Ｅｕｒｙｔｒｅｍａｐａｎｃｒｅａｔｉｃｕｍ）尾蚴体内各器官组织的化学成分结果表明，其体内含有糖原、粘蛋白、蛋白质、脱氧核糖核酸ＤＮＡ及核糖核酸ＲＮＡ等物质．讨论了其粘液腺及穿刺腺的生理功能．

The results of histochemical studies on the cercariae of Eurytrema pancreaticum were reported. The techniques used included the following methods:Periodic-acid-Schiff (PAS) for glycogen; Mucicarmine for mucoprotein; Ninhydrin-Schiff and Bromophenol-Blue for protein; Feulgen reaction for DNA and Methyl green-Pyronin for RNA. The results obtained may be summarized below. The cell plasma of tegument,suckers and excretory bladder contain mainly glycogen,mucoprotein and RNA. The cell nucleus of suckers and genital primodia contain mainly DNA. The mucosubstance gland cells contain mainly glycogen, mucoprotein and protein. Almost the whole content of mucosubstance gland cells of the cercariae are being secreted, while the daughter sporocysts are expelled from the snail-host to the outside air. The secretions of these mucosubstance gland cells when secreted become the protective covering of the cercariae, inside the inner cyst wall. The function of the mucosubstance is for protecting the cercariae to bridge over the atmospheric influences (perhaps to avoid drying)before the cercariae are ingested by the meadow grasshopper, Conocephalus chinensis. The ponetration gland cells contain mainly protein,glycogen,RNA and mucoprotein. During the whole cercarial stage the penetration gland cells can be observed to contain their glandular material.
