钱钟书先生的《围城》,在其雅俗共赏、幽默风趣的语言里透视着智者见智、仁者见仁的深层意蕴,他思考、关注着人的本性,将笔触伸向人的文化精神世界,从“文化的批判”到“形象的哲学”,揭示现代人的精神危机和生存危机,从而更深刻地揭示出人类文化、精神的颓废。《围城》以其“格式特别”和丰富的蕴含在中国文学史上确立了不可替代的历史地位,并为20 世纪40年代现实主义文学的发展做出了特殊的贡献。
Qian Zhongshu's Fortress Besieged, credited with its humorous language enjoyed by both highbrows and lowbrows, has different shades of meaning corresponding to readers with different tastes. What he pondered about and observed is the human nature and he extended his criticism to the cultural and psychological world of human being. From the cultural critique to the philosophy of image, he unfolded the psychological and survival crisis of modern people, thus magnifying the decadence of human culture and psychology. The unique narrative and the rich connotation of the novel guarantee its irreplaceable literary position in the contemporary Chinese literature and make special contribution to the development of the realist literature in the 1940s.
