代际支持对中国农村老年人认知功能的影响研究

The Effects of Intergenerational Supports on the Cognitive Function of the Rural Elderly in China

基于西安交通大学人口研究所2001年在安徽省巢湖市进行的“安徽省老年人生活福利状况”的抽样调查,采用多元线性回归,结合农村实际状况,详细分析经济支持、生活照料和情感支持的代际间双向交流对中国农村老年人认知功能的影响。结果显示,经济支持和情感支持的双向交流对老年人的认知功能有积极影响;老年人生活照料的获得对其认知功能也积极的影响;老年人对子女的生活照料的提供对其认知功能无显著影响。

Using data from the survey of “Welfare of the Elderly in Anhui Province, China”conducted in October 2001 by the Institute for Population and Development Studies of Xi＇an Jiaotong University, this paper aimed to examine the impact of intergenerational support on cognitive function of the elderly in rural China. The multiple regression method was used to estimate the effects of intergenerational financial, instrumental, and emotional transfers between adult children and their parents, both from children to parents and from parents to children, on the cognitive function of their old parents. The results showed that the financial support and emotional support between children and parents had all shown significant positive effects on the cognitive function of parents. The instrumental support from children to parents had also improved the cognitive function of the elderly. However, the instrumental support from parents to children had shown no relationship with the cognitive function of the elderly.
