摘要
熊牟师弟早年关于格物致知的辩争,代表两种关于中国经典的诠释方向,反映出两人对知识和价值关系的不同思考。这些辩争激发了牟宗三对知识论的关注和研究。本文试图对照熊牟各自晚年的哲学成就,考察这些分歧的意义及其在后来的补充、转折、递进等等关节,这些关节对当代新儒家思想的研究具有重要意义。
The debate, between Xiong Shili and Mou Zongsan, on how to paraphrase the meaning of “investigation of things and extension of knowledge”, represented two ways of annotating Chinese classics. The debate reflected their different ways of thinking about the relation between knowledge and value. Mou, upon the debate, became enthusiastic in studying epistemology. This article scrutinizes the significance of this bifurcation and the following complementary, transitional, and developmental points in an examination of the two philosophers' later achievement.
