The Chinese Knowledge Diaspora Communication Networks among Overseas Chinese Intellectuals in the Globalisation Era

本文借助有关移民和教育的相关文献,对(知识分子)流散的概念进行了梳理,并强调了知识流散,特别是全球知识分子流散的重要意义。本文引入了一个关于中国海外知识分子和国内研究界、以及世界其他地方中国知识分子群体之间交流方式的案例研究,以此揭示这种知识流散在全球化背景下,尤其是在高等教育领域中的新发展。

This paper focuses on the significance of knowledge diasporas, particularly intellectual diasporas at global level. In doing so, it draws on pertinent literature on migration and education, accompanied by examples and discussion from the Chinese （and Jewish）intellectual diasporas. It also used a case study on the communica- tion patterns between Chinese intellectuals abroad and those inside China, and among Chinese intellectuals abroad, for example in the USA, to illustrate the new development of intellectual diaspora in the context of globalisation, especially in the world of Higher Education.
