With the rapid development of computer information technology and internet technology, a digital becomes the tendency of a future library,which is a challenge to a traditional library. This paper presents the modernization of the library concept, globalization of service objects and diversity of service manners,poutialatly some rough thoughts on strengthening the construction of the digital library in western area by analyzing the library reform promoted by modern information technology and by analyzing the overall, multi-dimensional reform brought about by digital libraries.
