摘要
英语介词被动句经历了从“直接被动”到介词被动、复杂介词被动和短语介词被动等主要发展阶段。能够使用介词宾语进行被动转换的有介词动词、不及物动词+介词、复杂介词动词和短语介词动词等四种动词形式,它们之间的句法功能和语义特征存在显著差异。
The prepositional passives in English has gone mrougn the developing stages from direct passive to prepositional passive, complex prepositional passive, and phrasal -prepositional passive. Four verb forms of passive transformations are analyzed as follows： prepositional verbs, Vi ＋ prepositions, complex prepositional verbs and phrasal -prepositional verbs, among which there exist the distinctive syntactic features and semantic distinctions.
