介绍了MPEG-4视频压缩标准及视频采集、编码原理,以数字信号处理芯片DSPTMS320C6211构建平台,设计了应用于矿山救援应急多媒体通信中,基于IP传输的MPEG-4视频编码器硬软件,重点讨论算法优化方法,并给出实际应用结果。

This paper presents the Standard of MPEG-4 and the principle of video encoding. Based on DSP TMS320C6211, it introduces the hardware and software design of the MPEG-4 video encoder over IP and lists some ways to optimize the code. The performance of the video encoder in mine-multimedia rescue communication is given at the end.
