The paper discusses the concept and connotation of information barrier in terms of information safety, security and authentication. It introduces the history of development, functional requirements, the technical methods and techniques of information barrier for verification in nuclear disarmament. The conclusion of the paper is that, if proper and adequate information barrier being introduced, the verification of nuclear disarmament can employ more complete and advanced techniques, more intrusive measurement equipments and devices, in order to effectively increase the confidence.
