Teacher Leader Behavior Between Urban and Rural Junior Middle Schools: A Comparative Study

摘要 选取948名城市和农村的初一、初二年级学生为被试,采用“教师领导行为问卷”考察教师领导行为的城乡差异。结果发现:(1)城市和农村初中生期望的教师民主行为均多于知觉到的教师民主行为,但期望的教师权威行为均少于知觉到的教师权威行为;(2)城市初中生期望的教师放任行为多于知觉到的教师放任行为,而农村初中生期望的教师放任行为少于知觉到的教师放任行为;(3)农村初中生期望的与知觉到的教师领导行为(除权威行为外)之间的差距均大于城市初中生;(4)与女生相比,男生期望更多的教师权威和放任行为。 The present study examines the similarities and differences of teacher leader behavior between urban and rural junior middle schools in Chinese culture with a sample of 948 students aged 13 - 14, by using Teacher Leader Behavior Questionnaire. The results indicate: (1) As regard to all students, they anticipate more teacher democratic behavior and less teacher authoritative behavior than perceived ones. (2) Urban students anticipate more teacher indulgent behavior than perceived one, but rural students anticipate less teacher indulgent behavior than perceived one. (3) Compared with urban students, the differences between anticipate and perceive teacher leader behavior (except teacher authoritative behavior) in rural students are greater. (4) Male adolescents anticipate more teacher authoritative behavior and more teacher indulgent behavior than females.
