郑和是明代杰出的外交家,在七下西洋中,他以经济互利来推动外交,以文化交流来促进外交,以平息争端、维护和平来拓展外交;以军事为后盾来维护外交成果,以以德睦邻来赢得外国信任,从而取得了巨大的外交成就。郑和之所以在外交上取得成功,既得益于他本人出色的才干和智慧,也是与明朝国力强大和外交政策正确分不开的。

As an excellent diplomat during the Ming Dynasty, Zheng He attained outstanding diplomatic achievements in his seven voyages abroad. He pushed forward diplomatic relations with other countries through mutual economic interests and cultural exchanges, advanced them by subsiding disputes, and maintained them with military forces as the backup, and won the foreign country＇ s trust by his good virtue. The reason why Zheng He has made such great successes in diplomacy lies in his excellent ability and wisdom, and in the power of the Ming Dynasty and its correct diplomatic policy as well.
