Based on theory of gear drives design and fuzzy mathematics, the fuzziness during the wearing process on gear and the influencing factors, and with the combination of reliability design method, were analyzed and put forward in the paper. The fuzzy reliability calculation method was given for the limit wearing capacity in gear driving, which calculation and verification can be carried out for service life and reliability of important transmission or transmission with reliability requirements. This method can be applied to gear drives design, detection and application.
