This paper has probed into the effect which government intervention has made in the economic growth in the newly industrializing countries. According to the economic growth model of Yang Xiao - kai, the essence of the economic growth lies in the expansion and promotion of the labor division of the market. The western developed countries rely on market itself to realize expansion and promotion of the labor division, the governments just intervene where the market does not work. because of history , culture and the aspiration of “ catching up with and surpassing ” the developed countries , the newly industrializing countries carry on very strong intervention, this kind of intervention has a positive impact on the work division and the expansion of transaction , but at the same time has some passive influence on economy.
