The multiple story light steel structure residential system, researched and developed in U. S. recently, are presented. The structure techniques incinde light steel wall, light steel joist roof and steel board shear wall related to seismic and wind resistance as well as light stel and ordinary steel mixed system. The techniques of fireproof and heat preservation of light steel residence are introduced in detail as well. The advantages of multiple story light steel structure resideuce are discussed and the issues related to technique import are approached.
