竹笛是中国民族吹奏乐器中的主要成员,是深受我国各族人民喜爱的乐器。在几千年的发展“进化”过程中形成“竹质、横吹、贴膜”3大特征;竹笛的制作与演奏及各个历史时期所采用的律制情况是其发展的印证;它采用民族乐器独有的传承形式,形成了丰富多彩的演奏技法。它在现代各音乐领域起着重要的作用。

Bamboo flute is the major member of Chinese national wind musical instruments and it was very popular＇ in the whole nation. During several thousand years of development and “evolution” process, it has formed three big features of “Bamboo materials” “horizontal playing” and “Pellicle attaching”. The facture, performance and the different tuning system of the bamboo flute adopted in different historical stage of China are proofs of its development. It adopted the unique passing way of the national musical instrument and also formed various professional performing methods. So it plays an important role in all modern music areas.
