学习者的第二语言程度和性格差异对交际策略选择的交互影响——对交际策略使用的实证研究 被引量:15

The Effect of L2 Formal Proficiency and Personality Traits on the Use of Communication Strategies Among Chinese ESL Learners

摘要 本文调查分析了第二语言程度和性格因素不同的学习者在交际策略使用上表现的差异性。调查对象为40名北京某高校非英语专业本科生,调查研究了他们对成就策略和减缩策略的使用情况。调查结果发现:1)第二语言程度较高的学习者和较低的学习者在交际策略的选择上明显存在差异。2)在同一语言程度的学习者中,外向性格学习者与内向性格学习者在交际策略的选择上也存在差异。3)他们在交际策略的使用上分别表现出不同的特点。 This paper is intended to examine the effect of learners' L2 formal proficiency and personality traits on the use of communication strategies (CS) among Chinese ESL learners. 40 second-year non-English majors were selected as subjects by taking into account their L2 formal proficiency and personality traits. Based on the research analysis, it is concluded that both L2 formal proficiency levels and personality traits have important influences on learners' choice of specific CS. The higher-proficiency learners, especially extrovert ones, display more flexibility in using more effective L2-based strategies, while introverts with lower-proficiency have more recourse to L1-based strategies, and even more reduction strategies.
