汉诗英译有借鉴也有创造。译诗要用诗化语言,就需要加强语言修养,向名家名篇学习。化用名家名篇是学习,也是创造。翻译中对某些声音词和专名的处理,也可以有创造。
Drawing on masterpieces often happens in translating Chinese poetry into English. The language used in translation must be poetic, and to realize this the translator must learn from the masters. In learning there is creation. There may also be creation in handling certain proper names and words of sounds.
