Through China and the West to Understand the Ancient and the Modern — Mr.Feng Youlan's Philosophy Contribution

冯友兰是中国20世纪重要的哲学家,其哲学研究的主要贡献有二:一是对中国哲学史的开创性研究,为中国哲学史的研究提供了范式,他的三本哲学史各具特色;二是用“接着讲”的方法,创立了新理学的哲学体系,成为了现代新儒学的代表人物之一。冯友兰的哲学创造体现出了复兴民族哲学的一种现代努力。

Feng Youlan is an important Chinese philosopher in the 20th century and he has two main contributions in philosophy: first,his initiative research of the Chinese philosophy history had provided the model for the Chinese philosophy history study,his three philosophy works have different characteristics;second,he established the Neo-Confucianism philosophy system,and became one of modern new Confucianism representatives.Feng Youlan's philosophy creation manifested a modern effort to revive national philosophy.
