In 2002, Beijing＇s Communications Authorities decided to improve the state of the city＇s taxicab fleet. The new set of standards could not be fulfilled by the most popular model on the street at that time： the Tianjin produced Xiali TJ 7100. The red colored Xiali has as a result been largely phased out. This Obizuary is dedicated to the TJ 7100.
