A Brief Discussion on the System of Book-collecting in the Libraries of Higher Vocational Colleges

藏书是图书馆的物质基础,而藏书建设作为图书馆藏书的先决条件,是有效地为教学和科研提供服务的基础。高职院校不同于普通院校,其藏书建设必须具有高职特色,要从对藏书量的追求转向对质的关注。

Book-collecting is the foundation of a library. Being the prerequisite of collecting books in a library, the system of book-collecting is the basis on which we can better serve the teaching and the development of science and research. Different from the other colleges, the system of book-collecting in higher vocational colleges should have their own features. We should transfer our concern from the quantity of books to the quality of books.
