一次灾害性地震之后，有关部门分别提供的评估数字有时差别很大。该文据全世界地震灾害记录资料，提出并讨论以下事实：各家提供的地震灾害评估数字普遍存在差别。一般比较来看，人员死亡数的差别较小，经济损失数额评估的差别较大。地震灾害经济损失评估的差别，将随着社会经济的发展和文化物质生活的不断提高而继续存在，甚至扩大。
