摘要
随着基于多媒体的网络应用的不断发展和视频应用的增加,图像压缩在最近几年引起了广泛的研究兴趣。嵌入式零树小波编码(EZW)不仅具有高的压缩比,还能实现渐进编解码、从有损压缩到无损压缩等。因此奠定了它在图象编码中的地位。分析了其算法原理,探讨了嵌入式图象编码的研究方向。
With the development of multimedia based application of internet and increasing use of video and image, Image compression has arose extensive interests. Having features of high compression rate, pregressive code, and compression from lossy to lossless, EZW(Embedded Zerotree Wavelets coding) plays an important role in the field. In this paper,its principle is analyzed and the research tendency in the area of embedded image coding is discussed.
